Product FAQs

Ask a Question

  • What is the source of the calcium carbonate in this filter? Is it from the USA?

    Georgia Marble

  • What is the average life of this filter.
Typically 6-12 months. It depends on the water usage of you application. Most people get 12 months of usage.
  • Does this filter replace your 505-CC-10 that I do not see on your filter list?
No. The filter in the link is a calcite filter. This is used to raise the pH or mineral content of the water. The 505-CC-10, Is a granular coconut shell carbon filter. Here is a link to the filter that would replace 505-CC-10; https://www.uswatersystems.com/granular-activated-carbon-2-75-x-9-7-8-filter-cartridge-gac-10.html
  • Does this cartridge also add magnesium to the water or just calcium? Would this be installed after the polishing filter on my RO system?

There could be some magnesium added to the water.  It depends on the solubility of the media in the water, which is dependent on the pH and TDS of the water passing through the filter.  Typically most applications will see significant rise in Calcium and minimal magnesium change.
