Do you need a light duty commercial reverse osmosis system that can deliver up to 300 GPD with water that has TDS levels of up to 1,500, but also don’t want to break the bank? Test Parameters: *550 TDS Filtered (5 Micron), De-Chlorinated, Municipal Feed Water, 100 psi (6.89 bar) Operating Pressure, 77 Degrees F (25 Degrees C), Recovery as stated, 7.0 pH. Data taken after 60 minutes of operation. Scale prevention measures must be taken to prolong membrane life.

Low temperatures and high feed water TDS levels will significantly affect system’s production capabilities. Performance projections should be run for individual applications which do not meet or exceed minimum and maximum operating limits.

  • My source water runs approximately 500 ppm tds. I would run this unit after my softener. What would be the approximate tds in ppm of the product water of this unit? I do not see that information listed anywhere but perhaps I missed it. Thank you for your time.

    What the TDS would be depends what you are doing with it, whether you are using an atmospheric tank or a bladder tank and how much you use it.

    The quality could be as low as 20 or as high as 50 depending upon several factors.

  • What connections do I need to connect a hose to the 20 gallon storage tank so that I can fill bottles? Do you sell those products and/or do you recommend a certain product? Will be purchasing within the next few days and need to make sure we have a way to connect a hose.

    That would depend what size you need.  It could be 3/8”, ½” or ¾”. Please let us know what you want and we can provide it.

  • What can I expect (in gallons) for total output of this system before filters need replaced?

    That would be totally dependent upon what is in your water, and what kind of pre-treatment you may use.  To answer the question I would need to see a detailed water analysis.  I have seen the filters last two years or plug up in two days, depending upon your water!

  • Is there a system for small home use that would provide enough volume at sinks (2) to wash your face, etc.?

    We have systems for any size.  We even do whole house RO, but you wash your face with hot and cold water.  The hot water would also have to be treated for the whole house, unless you have a small water heater for washing your face.

  • How much water line pressure will your 300 gpd RO system handle? Do the 300- and 600 gpd systems use the same filters? What determines the difference between the two? We currently have a conventional water softener (uses salt) which has failed; will I need to hire a plumber to install your RO system? Why would I want to buy a tank with one of your systems?
    • How much pressure – 80-100 PSI
    • Same filters – Yes
    • The difference – 300 more gallons a day
    • If your water is hard, you will still need to use and anti-scalant or a softener before the RO/
    • Many people install it without a plumber.  In fact, we recommend you don’t hire a plumber.
    • Why would you want to buy a tank?  Are you using it for the whole house?  You do realize that a 300 GPD system makes less than .02 Gallons Per Minute?
