Synergy Backwashing Ultra Filtration System

Poly - UF
At the heart of the systems is the patented Enpress Poly-UF Polysulfone-based Outside/In Ultrafiltration Membrane (UF) and is NSF 61 certified. It offers 0.02 micron filtration at service flow rates up to 12gpm. The membrane operates with flow from the outside to inside, with benefits of minimized risk of deep clogging, simple cleaning of the membrane surface with water and/or air, and a high area volume ratio that allows for a compact design. The membrane is non-bio-degradable, and has superior mechanical and chemical resistance.
How it Works
Each tank has four (4) Poly UF Membranes bundled together inside each tank. There are two tanks so that when it is time to backflush or backwash out the contaminants, you would not want to backwash with water that contains these same contaminants. During backwashing, you are using clean, UF-filtered water from the second tank to thoroughly clean the first tank. This dramatically increases the ultrafilter life. Without the clean water backwash, the membranes could plug in less than a year. With the clean water backwash, the UF Membranes' life expectancy is up to seven (7) years!
