Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Filtration

Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) is one of the most effective filtation substances for the removal of a wide spectrum of contaminants through it's unique properties of absorption. One pound of carbon can have a total absorbtive surface area of over 100 football fields.  Granular carbon is used in the removal of disinfection byproducts (such as chlorine found in city water), natural organic matter, synthetic organic chemicals, and much more. Since these contaminants are absorbed by carbon media, it must be regularly replaced in order to avoid exposure to high levels of hazardous substances. US Water offer a number of filtration methods and replacement GAC media for both residential and commercial applications.
