Craft Beer Brewing Water
I just came back from the Craft Brewer's Conference called Brew Expo America in Denver, Colorado this past weekend, and while I was extremely excited by all of the craft brewers I met and the quality of prospects that we generated, I was somewhat frustrated at times by some Craft Brewers beliefs about the role water plays in their products. Here's an actual conversation I had with a craft brewer...April 15, 2019 -
Ask A Question: TDS Creep
Question: Hi. I have well water. The TDS in the tap water is 700. I have a 3 stage RO system. Number 1 is the sediment filter. Number 2 is the TFC membrane. Number 3 is the carbon post filter. I have added a permeate pump. The water coming out of the RO is 200 ppm. Is this too high? Is there anything else that I can add to the system to reduce the ppm even more? Thanks in advance, Paul A...March 7, 2018 -
Ask a Question: Remineralization
Question: Hi read through the info you have about RO systems and how they strip the minerals. You don’t talk about putting them back and only state you really don't have to anyway. OK, but the water tastes bad, tea tastes bad. So what am I to do learn to live with the taste or is there something that will actually add some safe amount and type of minerals back to adjust the taste? Thank...March 7, 2018
