What's New At US WATER

US Water Systems recently completed an installation for the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) in Fountain City, Indiana at Northeastern Elementary School for the removal or arsenic from the school’s water supply. US Water used G2 media from ADI International and WATTS WATER to remove the arsenic. This task was accomplished by chlorinating ahead of the media, causing the arsenic an iron in the water to bond with the arsenic to the media to create safe drinking water for the entire school. This contract was awarded to US Water by Battelle Memorial Institute of Columbus, Ohio as part of the US EPA Demonstration Arsenic Removal Technologies, Round 2A.    

The system consists of pre-chlorination followed by (4) 36” x 72” G2 Media Tanks to remove the arsenic. A custom-built monitoring and control center was also installed as a special request. The system is capable of serving the entire school. The installation was completed on September 3, 2008.

US Water Systems recently faced a huge challenge at CHINA FARMS (a sprout-growing operation in the Midwest). The customer’s water contained high levels of methane and iron. US WATER successfully solved the problems by utilizing a large industrial size aerator to vent the methane to atmosphere and the WATERDOG patented Dissolved Oxygen Generator (D.O.G.) technology, which uses Electrolytic Hydrolysis in a unique and innovative way (Patent # 6,689,262-B2 other patents pending). It oxygenates water in real-time, at various flow rates and at controlled oxygen levels. The extremely high levels of oxygen produced by the WATER D.O.G. Iron Hunter oxidize 100% of Iron and Manganese minerals in water for easy removal by filtration, while eliminating iron oxide and hydrogen sulfide odors. By oxidizing 100% of iron and manganese minerals in water, the WATER D.O.G. technology enables easy removal by filtration, while eliminating iron oxide and hydrogen sulfide odors. Electrolytic hydrolysis is used to oxygenate water for various uses, including specialized industrial water purification applications and water for hospital disinfecting. In these applications, economics are secondary to function. This is an important consideration because current methods of hydrolysis utilize large amounts of energy, are inefficient, expensive, and slow, making their use in broad applications impossible. Aqua Innovations, WATER D.O.G. WORKS' technology licensor, was the first to discover a method for efficiently and cost effectively producing highly oxygenated water with hydrolysis, making its use in commercial and consumer applications practical. The Company’s technology is unique and can be scaled to effectively oxygenate greater or lesser quantities of water and to achieve very high levels of oxygenation, when desired. Oxygen is formed into extremely small bubbles, called micro-bubbles, which are unable to break the surface tension of the water. As a result, virtually all the released oxygen remains dissolved in solution.
