20 Micron Flow-Max Filter Cartridges by Flowmatic (now Watts) are pleated and CLEANABLE & REUSABLE for greater surface area, low pressure drop, extended life.

Flow-Max cartridges are pleated and therefore have dramatically more surface area. It only stands to reason that they filter longer and thus fewer replacement cartridges are needed.  The Flow-Max 20 micron cartridge is cleanable and reusable (4 to 5 times), since it is not made of paper, but is made of high-quality synthetic polyester. Synthetic filter media (cellulose free) is bacteria resistant and free of binders or additives which may cause foaming. 

Pleated cartridges have lower pressure drop, compared to "depth" cartridges. Therefore, smaller filter housings are required for the same flow rate, so filter housing costs are reduced.

Flow-Max Cartridges fit FLOWMATIC, HARMSCO, AMETEK & PENTEK Housings and exceed the specifications for any of these replacement filters.  If you are currently using Harmsco, Pentek or Ametek filters, the Flow-Max Cartridge beats the them hands down in durability, economy and dirt-carrying capacity.

Recommended Usage:

• The Flow-Max 20 Micron Cartridge is our most common size and is for water with moderate amounts of sand, silt or sediment
• If used for a whole house filtration application, the Flow-Max 20 micron is the filter of choice, unless you have extremely fine sand, in which case, a 5 micron may be considered
