    Is Pelican™ A Water Softener?

It seems like I am getting this question several times a day: We have had a Pelican™* for 3 + years now. Our water tastes great, but it absolutely does NOT soften our water. Our showers heads clog, we have scale on the facets, etc. We have a hardness of about 15-17. If I could [...]

Water Softeners Not Green? Think Again!

Look, at US Water we sell salt free water water conditioners because (1) there is a big demand for them from the general public who regards salt as evil; (2) some states have banned water softeners; and (3) properly applied, they are excellent scale-prevention devices.  If it sounds to you like salt-regenerated water softeners are [...]

Switched From Easy Water to a Salt System

We just now purchased a traditional water softener, and the difference is amazing. Hot showers again, with actual water pressure, no calcium deposits on the faucets, I can comb my hair easier. We definitely wasted our money with Easy Water.”

    Confused About Salt-Free Water Conditioners?

    Confused About Salt-Free Water Conditioners?

Pelican may be a water “conditioner” but to call it a water “softener” is extremely misleading to a consumer. I have tested both Easy Water and Pelican and can find no basis for claims that you will use less soaps and detergents or that you will have whiter and brighter clothes. I know that they have some glowing testimonials, but I wonder if some of the endorsements are by people who have seen these “little green men” as well.

Do You Want Smart Kids or Kids With Good Teeth?

It seems that you may have to make a choice.  Water Technology Magazine released information today which publishes the results of a new study recently pre-published in Environmental Health Perspectives which strongly suggests that exposure to fluoride may lower children’s intelligence.  In this study, 512 children aged 8-13 years in two Chinese villages were studied and [...]
