Kathy asked:

"My husband is on kidney stone diet and can not have any salt. We have well water and it is so hard. We have to clean shower heads and coffee pots out with vingear about every two weeks. We get yellow spots on our whites about every other time I wash. We need help and because he is a disabled veteran we have limited income. We had looked online at salt less systems but do not want to try and save up the money and buy one if the do not work. Please give us some ideas we really need some good advise. Thank you"

The Water Doctor Replied:

Kathy,

You have at least two problems: Hard water, and if you have yellow spots, you most likely have iron. No salt-less system will work properly unless you have the iron removed. We do have a system that will work, but it may be overkill. Here it is:

http://www.uswatersystems.com/shop/products/GreenWave-Ultra-Iron%2C-Manganese-%26-Sulfur-Removal-Saltless-Water-Conditioning-System.html

However, you may not need all that. The first thing I would do is a complete water test on your water so that we will know exactly how to treat your water. Try this one:

Once we have that, we can guarantee results.
